1 Bartow sophomore Markie McCann won the Polk County Girls Golf Invitational title by shooting a 40 at the Lekarica Golf Course on Oct. 5.

 

2 Victory Christian senior Demeitre Brim rushed for 121 yards, threw for 133 and had three touchdowns in a 34-29 district win over Lake Mary Prep on Friday. He also had 11 tackles.

 

3 Ridge Community senior Anthony Parnell rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns Friday in a 33-16 win over Haines City.

 

4 George Jenkins sophomore swimmer Kyleigh Firman won four events at Lakeland City Meet on Oct. 6 to help the team win its 10th city title.

 

5 Landmark Christian freshman Keland White rushed for 274 yards and four touchdowns in a 62-30 win over Bishop McLaughlin on Friday. He also had seven tackles.

 

6 Winter Haven junior kicker Moise Jean was 3-for-3 on field goals of 35, 43 and 49 to help the Blue Devils beat Lake Gibson in a district matchup Friday.

 

7 Lakeland junior De'drick Gallishaw had 112 yards receiving with two touchdowns Friday in a win over Lake Region.

 

8 Santa Fe Catholic senior B.J. Knauf rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-6 district win over Mount Dora Bible on Friday. Knauf also recovered a fumble.

 

9 Lakeland Christian freshman T.J. Simmons rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-21 loss to Cardinal Mooney on Friday.

 

10 Fort Meade junior De'Vante Clark rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-12 win over Frostproof Friday.
