George Jenkins seniors Karla Thiele and Kacy Scarpa will compete at the next level, Thiele in volleyball and Scarpa in soccer. Both played volleyball this season for the Eagles, who made it to the Class 7A regional finals before losing in four sets to Harmony.
Thiele, an outside hitter, committed in early December to play volleyball for the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The 5-foot-7 outside hitter finished with 396 digs, 243 kills and 33 aces for Jenkins in the Eagles' most successful season since coach Lisa Bickerton took over as the head coach in 2001.
Scarpa, a defensive stalwart in volleyball and soccer, verbally committed to play soccer for Florida State University.
