Fort Meade defensive lineman Jamie Willis has verbally committed to play football for Florida International University, coach Jemalle Cornelius told The Ledger on Wednesday.

Willis, who had 49 tackles and five sacks this season, had offers from FIU, Indiana, Purdue, Western Kentucky and Ball State. He is the second player from Polk County this season to commit to the Golden Panthers. Haines City linebacker Josh Glanton is also heading there to play Division I football.

Willis will make an official visit to the FIU campus Friday.
