Prep Notes: LCS' Wheary to Visit Youngstown St. ; Hoops Tournament to be In Lake Wales

Lakeland Christian receiver Michael Wheary will take an official visit to Youngstown State today.
Wheary, a second team All-County selection, was first in the county in touchdown receptions (15) and second in yards (970). He also played in the secondary for the Vikings.
Tournament to be Held In Lake Wales
Lake Wales is hosting an eight team boys' basketball tournament, the Polk County Classic Hoop Exchange, today starting at 3:30 p.m.
Local teams include Tenoroc, which tips off against Tampa Catholic in the opener, Winter Haven and Lake Wales.
Avon Park, Summit Christian and Leesburg are also participating.
Lake Wales was previously ranked nationally by ESPN but dropped out of the top 50 list two weeks ago.
The scheduled games are:
3:30 p.m. — Tampa Catholic vs Teneroc
5 p.m. — Chipley vs Avon Park
6:30 p.m. — Summit Christian vs Winter Haven
8 p.m. — Leesburg vs Lake Wales
