Jenkins Tabs Wrestling Coach as New Athletic Director

LAKELAND | Jestin Bailey will replace Diane Werrick as the new athletic director at George Jenkins, Buddy Thomas, the school's principal, said Friday. Bailey, who is also the wrestling coach, will stay on in that role, too.

"He's willing to step up to the plate and take the challenge on here and we appreciate that," Thomas said. "I'm glad I can get someone on staff to do that. I look forward to working with him."

Werrick resigned on February 6., less than a week after a school clerical error eliminated the school's boys soccer team from postseason play. She is still at Jenkins as the Director of Student Activities & Athletics.
