Prep Notebook: Donations Accepted for Brady Hutto Funeral Fund

LAKELAND | Monetary donations to cover expenses for the funeral of Brady Hutto, the 22-month-old boy who died at the Auburndale-Titusville regional softball game Friday after being accidentally run over by the driver of an SUV, are being accepted at any Mid Florida Credit Union branch.
The name of the account is the “Brady Hutto Memorial Account.”
Perry Garnering Interest
Bartow’s Chris Perry, a 6-foot-8 forward, has picked up offers from Boston University, Savannah State and Jacksonville University to play basketball at the collegiate level. He is also receiving interest from the University of Central Florida and Kennesaw State, his coach, Terrence McGriff, told The Ledger.
Perry averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds as a junior last season.
Lake Wales Golf Tourney
Lake Wales’ football team is hosting its annual Lake Wales Football Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 12 at the Lake Wales Country Club.
The scramble starts at 8 a.m. and costs $75 per player. The football team is still looking for $100 hole sponsors.

LCS’s Bellar Chooses SEU
Mason Bellar, a senior at Lakeland Christian, signed a letter of intent Monday to play tennis at Southeastern University next year.
Bellar was 8-2 at No. 1 singles for the Vikings and 9-1 at No. 1 doubles. She made it to the West County finals at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles and also advanced to the doubles final at the Class 1A, District 7 meet.
