Local Teams Host Spring Football Games

Three local teams host spring football games today with Ridge Community the lone buggy on the road.

Lake Gibson hosts Osceola, Lakeland Christian hosts Auburndale and Lake Wales hosts Lake Region in games set to start at 7 p.m.

Ridge travels to South Lake in Groveland.

Four schools return quarterbacks from last season including Ridge (Shykeem Pitts), Lake Gibson (Trey Congdon), Lake Region (LT Thompson) and Lakeland Christian (Christian Alexander). Railond Garrett, the backup for Lake Wales last year, is currently sharing that role with Drake Haff.
