Mutz In Running For FHSAA Award

Mark Mutz, a two-sport star for Lakeland Christian, is in the running to win the male scholar athlete of the year award, an honor given out each year by the Florida High School Athletic Association. 

The announcement will be made on Monday at the 18th annual celebration banquet recognizing the state's Academic All-State Team in Gainesville. Mutz was a state qualifier in track and field and cross country. He is headed to the University of Florida in the fall, where he will compete on both teams for the Gators.
