Eight high school baseball players from Polk County were selected to this year's FACA All-State team, including All Saints' Academy's Carson Fulmer, Lake Wales' Taylor Cockrell, Winter Haven's Tyler Pike and Levi Borders, Haines City's Juan Hillman and Rob Whalen, Frostproof's Josh Baber and Lakeland's Brad Labozzetta.
Cockrell and Hillman were the lone underclassmen on the list. Cockrell, a pitcher, is a junior. Hillman, an outfielder, is a freshman.
Fulmer, Pike, Whalen and Borders were picked in this year's Major League Baseball draft, but only Pike and Whalen have agreed to terms.
Fulmer is committed to play for Vanderbilt, Borders for the University of South Florida.
