Orlando Christian 34, Santa Fe Catholic 6

LAKELAND | Santa Fe quarterback Nick Martinez connected with George Waller on an 85 yard touchdown on the first play of the game.

But that was the only points the Crimson Hawks could muster as they fell to Orlando Christian.

Santa Fe held it's 6-0 lead going into the second quarter but big plays and interceptions were the teams downfall.

The Hawks threw two second quarter interceptions, one being taken back to the 35-yard line before being punched in by the Warriors.

Orlando Christian also had a run of 63 yards and a pass of 40 to go along with five total plays gain more than 20 yards.

The Crimson Hawks redzone offense too was a killer.

Three times they marched into enemy territory and came away empty handed.

Martinez led the team in rushing with 14 yards on nine carries. Jake Brown had nine yards on five rushes.

Alex Dry led the team in tackles with 10 — he also had a sack.

Gil Kromer had eight total tackles.

Santa Fe will search for it's first win against the son of former Kathleen linebacker, and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.

Last season Lewis III rushed for 181 yards against Santa Fe. He also had three touchdowns.
