Ridge Community at Auburndale
■ RECORDS: Ridge Community 3-0, Auburndale 0-3.
■ QUICK HITS: Ridge beat Kathleen last week in a close game where E’Shawn Davis scored the game winner with 4:26 left. Ridge coach Richard Tate said Auburndale is a darned good 0-3 team. “They took Lake Gibson to the limit,” Tate said. Auburndale coach Kenneth Grantham said Ridge is “fast everywhere” and their defense “gets off blocks so quick.”

Fort Meade at Bartow
■ RECORDS: Fort Meade 3-0, Bartow 3-0.
■ QUICK HITS: Fort Meade beat Haines City 24-19 last week with big games from backup running back Ryan Fulse (121 yards rushing) and quarterback Jay Smith (145 yards, 2 TD). Bartow quarterback Dimitri Leverett will return for the Yellow Jackets but will not start. He sat out last week because of a sore right shoulder. Bartow still won, beating Lake Region 37-10. Fort Meade senior running back De’Vante Clark, who has missed the last two games, will be a game-time decision.

Mulberry at Frostproof
■ RECORDS: Mulberry 1-2, Frostproof 2-1.
■ QUICK HITS: This one should be a game featuring lots of run plays. Mulberry beat Avon Park last week via a field goal in the third quarter, but the Panthers rushed for 230 yards, with Henry Berry leading the way with 79 yards on 15 carries. Frostproof had 439 total yards in a 22-21 win over DeSoto last week, 285 on the ground.

Lake Region at George Jenkins
■ RECORDS: Lake Region 0-3, George Jenkins 0-3.
■ QUICK HITS: Both teams are looking for their first win, and George Jenkins’ coach Eric Gallon says his staff has conveyed to their players how important this game is, considering it is a district match-up. Jenkins lost to Winter Haven 49-0 last week, and Lake Region lost to Bartow, 37-10. Jenkins’ Trent Rains was nicked up in the loss, but Gallon said he should be good to go Friday.

Haines City at Lakeland
■ RECORDS: Haines City 1-2, Lakeland 3-0.
■ QUICK HITS: This is the first Class 7A-District 7 match-up for both teams. Lakeland is coming off a 27-7 win over Flanagan where the Dreadnaughts rushed for 223 yards and had another solid defensive outing. Robert Smith will return for Lakeland at the running back spot. He had a sore ankle and sat out against Flanagan. Dacorius Law starred for the Hornets last week, rushing for 102 yards on 26 carries in a 24-19 loss to Fort Meade.

Lake Gibson at Sebring
■ RECORDS: Lake Gibson 3-0, Sebring 1-2.
■ QUICK HITS: Sebring has lost to DeSoto and Frostproof but won last week against Hardee. Lake Gibson is coming off a close win over Auburndale, where Tyler Brown rushed for 81 yards and Eric Carter caught five passes for 74 yards. Quarterback Trey Congdon threw for 171 yards but also had two interceptions.

Santa Fe Catholic at Lake Mary Prep
■ RECORDS: Santa Fe Catholic 0-2, Lake Mary Prep 3-0.
■ QUICK HITS: The Hawks are coming off a 34-6 home loss to Orlando Christian. Lake Mary has outscored its opponents 112-0 this season and its defense is led by linebacker Ray Lewis III, the son of former Kathleen and current Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.

Immokalee at Lake Wales
■ RECORDS: Immokalee 2-1, Lake Wales 0-2.
■ QUICK HITS: Lake Wales comes off a bye week looking for its first win of the season. The Highlanders lost back-to-back games to Orlando Jones and Lake Gibson but are returning injured linebackers Jonte’ Sergeant and David Jones. Head coach Rod Shafer said the Highlanders haven’t started 0-2 since the mid 90s. He also said Jones may see some playing time at running back. Immokalee is ranked No. 6 in Class 5A and is loaded with college prospects.

Tenoroc at Lakeland Christian
■ RECORDS: Tenoroc 1-2, Lakeland Christian 2-1.
■ QUICK HITS: Both teams enter tonight’s game on a high note. The Titans picked up their first win of the year last week routing Poinciana 36-0. Quarterback Vic Smith and running back Darius Frasier combined for five TDs. Lakeland Christian pummeled Evangelical Christian 69-31, getting 268 yards and four touchdown passes from quarterback Christian Alexander.

Victory Christian at Mount Dora Bible
■ RECORDS: Victory Christian 0-3, Mount Dora Bible 3-0.
■ QUICK HITS: After tangling with Florida Air Academy and two teams ranked in the top 5 in Class 3A and 2A, the Storm is heavily banged up. First year head coach Andre Dobson said WR Nekari Jones, who is averaging 16.6 yards per catch, TE/DL Chris Nelson and RB Brice Ford will not be available for action. Mount Dora Bible has outscored its opponents 81-32 in its first three games.

Master’s Academy at Landmark Christian
■ RECORDS: Master’s Academy 0-2, Landmark Christian 3-0.
■ QUICK HITS: Master’s Academy has yet to score a point this season, getting drilled by Holy Trinity Episcopal (51-0) and Seffner Christian (42-0). Landmark Christian, the defending Sunshine State Athletic Conference champions, is rolling. Last week the Patriots piled up 432 yards of offense while routing Merrit Island Christian 53-7. Running back Keland White is averaging 15.1 yards per carry.
