Victory Christian 32, Mount Dora Bible 18

MOUNT DORA | Two back-to-back pick sixes helped Victory Christian win it's first game of the season over Mount Dora.

Adre Poleon and Micah Wade both scored on the Bible Bulldogs' first two plays of the game by taking passes back to the house.

From that moment on Victory was able to cruise to victory.

"It's huge being able to not have to stress scoring on every possession," Victory head coach Andre Dobson said. "We were able to control the ball an not have a sense of urgency about having to get into the endzone."

Victory learned from it's mistakes last week when it turned the ball over six times in a 48-20 loss to Florida Air.

Terrance King added two interceptions.

The Storm ran the ball effectively scoring as Sa'Vaunn Bond scored twice on the ground and Jaylyn McKinney added another.

This win shows what we're capable of doing," McKinney, a sophomore, said. "When we play as a team and have less mistakes we can beat anyone."

Victory Christian takes on Lake Mary Prep and star runningback Ray Lewis III, son of NFL linebacker and Kathleen alum Ray Lewis.

The Storm defeated the Griffins last season 34-29 with Lewis in the stands.
