Jenkins Cross Country Does Well at Mitchell Invitational

Landon Schneider placed 10th at the Mitchell Invitational on Saturday, posting a time of 17 minutes, 44.30 seconds in the 5K to help George Jenkins' boys' cross country team finish fifth out of 25 teams.

On the girls' side, Teresa Trantham finished 12th in 21 minutes, 50.9 seconds to lead Jenkins to a second place finish. Casey Johnson (22:10.4) and Ruby Lewis (22:10.7) finished 17th and 18th and Heather Meskimen was 22nd (22:32.5) to round out the Top 25 on the girls' side.

Daniel Bostrom was the second highest finisher on the boys' side in 18:34.8.
