McKeel Senior Softball Player Amber Presto Signs Letter of Intent With Ave Maria University

Amber Presto, a senior at McKeel Academy, signed a letter of intent Thursday to play softball with Ave Maria University. Presto, who plays shortstop at McKeel, received a partial athletic and partial academic scholarship from Ave Maria. She helped McKeel win the Class 3A, District 7 title and get to the regional finals.

"I think we have a really good look on this season," Presto said. "We only lost one senior and we definitely have a big chance to go far again."

Presto said she wants to study biochemistry at Ave Maria and eventually work in pharmaceutical research. She currently holds a 4.4 weighted GPA.
