Tenoroc at Auburndale

RECORDS: Tenoroc 1-4, Auburndale 1-3.

QUICK HITS: Tenoroc looks to recoup after its homecoming was smashed by Lake Gibson last week. Tenoroc lost, 47-0, to the Braves. Auburndale is coming off a bye week. The Bloodhounds won their first game of the season the week before, beating Ridge 25-7. This game is a Class 5A-9 district match-up.

Bartow at Kathleen

RECORDS: Bartow 3-2, Kathleen 3-2.

QUICK HITS: Bartow gave Lakeland a tough game last week, but eventually lost 17-10 in overtime. Freddie Stevenson and Vontarius West had a big game but this week’s the big one. It’s a Class 6A-10 district match-up, the first for Bartow and the second for Kathleen. Kathleen beat Haines City 35-10 last week on a pretty solid ground attack with 282 yards. “Kathleen likes to bring a lot of pressure, something we haven’t seen in a few weeks,” Bartow coach Brett Biggs said.

Frostproof at Fort Meade

RECORDS: Frostproof 2-2, Fort Meade 4-1.

QUICK HITS: This heated rivalry is back at Fort Meade and the Miners are “a lot better than we are,” Frostproof coach Price Harris said. “We’ll just try to get out there and give them as good a game as we can.” Fort Meade is coming off its first loss of the season.

George Jenkins at Wekiva

RECORDS: George Jenkins 1-4, Wekiva 1-4.

QUICK HITS: George Jenkins lost to Lake Wales, 21-0, last week but hope to bounce back and pick up its second win of the season. Wekiva, which competes in Class 8A, has only one win — against Orlando Boone. Jenkins

Ridge Community at Haines City

RECORDS: Ridge Community 4-1, Haines City 1-4.

QUICK HITS: Ridge is coming off a 24-14 win over Fort Meade, where Shykeem Pitts had three big defensive plays to help the Bolts win it. Haines City lost to Kathleen, 35-10, last week but running back Dacorius Law is still putting up big numbers at the running back spot. He had 200 yards rushing against the Red Devils. This is a Class 7A-5 district match-up.

Winter Haven at Lake Gibson

RECORDS: Winter Haven 4-0, Lake Gibson 5-0.

QUICK HITS: Winter Haven, ranked No.4 in the state in Class 6A, looks for its second straight Class 6A-10 district win. The Blue Devils are coming off a bye week. Lake Gibson hopes to build on its perfect record by giving quarterback Trey Congdon time to throw. “They’re so strong up front,” Lake Gibson coach Keith DeMeyer said. “But as our offensive line develops, Trey will look better and better.”

Lake Wales at Mulberry

RECORDS: Lake Wales 2-2, Mulberry 3-2.

QUICK HITS: Tony Reeves, who leads Lake Wales in rushing, will not play because he violated team rules, coach Rod Shafer said. Mulberry is coming off a 37-0 win over Hardee and looks to build on its 3-game win streak. This is a Class 5A-9 district match-up.

Lakeland at Lake Region

RECORDS: Lakeland 5-0, Lake Region 0-4

QUICK HITS: This Class 7A-5 district matchup is the second district clash of the year for both teams. The Dreadnaughts escaped with a 17-10 overtime win against Bartow last week. The Thunder are searching for their first win of the season but it doesn’t look good against the No. 5 ranked team in the state.

Victory Christian vs. Lake Mary Prep (at Tenoroc)

RECORDS: Victory Christian 1-4, Lake Mary Prep 5-0

QUICK HITS: Victory head coach Andre Dobson said WR/S Nekari Jones has been cleared to play in this Class 2A-4 district matchup after missing action with a heart condition. Dobson also said he feels his team needs to win its four remaining district games to grasp a playoff berth. Lake Mary Prep is undefeated.

Mount Dora Bible at Santa Fe Catholic

RECORDS: Santa Fe Catholic 0-4, Mount Dora Bible 3-2

QUICK HITS: Santa Fe comes in looking for its first win of the season in this Class 2A-4 district game. Mount Dora stumbles in riding a two-game losing streak after a 47-13 trouncing by Foundation Academy last week and a 39-18 loss to Victory Christian two weeks ago.

Seffner Christian at Landmark Christian

RECORDS: Landmark Christian 5-0, Seffner Christian 3-1

QUICK HITS: Landmark squashed Life Academy 61-0 last week. Patriots running back Keland White has rushed for 444 yards this season. Seffner likes to keep the ball on the ground. Senior, running back Seth Lewis is averaging 6.15 yards per carry and 5.3 tackles per game playing both ways.

Sarasota Cardinal Mooney at Lakeland Christian

RECORDS: Lakeland Christian 4-1, Cardinal Mooney 3-2

QUICK HITS: This Class 3A-6 matchup is the first district game of the year for both teams in a well-balanced division. Vikings quarterback Christian Alexander has thrown for 886 yards with 12 TDs through the first five games.

ADMISSION: $6.



Cedar Creek Christian at All Saints’ Academy

RECORDS: All Saints’ Academy 1-2, Cedar Creek Christian 1-3

QUICK HITS: After spend the first three weeks of the season on the road All Saints’ hosts its first home game under new head coach Gary Tufford.
