Lightning Postpones LCS-Cardinal Mooney Game

LAKELAND | Lakeland Christian's Class 3A-District 6 home game against Sarasota Cardinal Mooney was postponed because of lightning in the area.

The game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m., Monday at Lakeland Christian. It will be the first district game of the season for both teams.

Lakeland Christian is 4-1 on the season. Cardinal Mooney is 3-2.

Lightning came into the area more than an hour before kickoff, and LCS officials never officially opened the stadium.

The game was called shortly before 8:30 p.m.
