McKeel Wins Seffner Cross Country Meet

Casey Brady led the McKeel Academy cross country team to a first-place finish at the Seffner Christian Last Chance Invitational on Thursday. Brady finished third in 17:30.70 to help ­McKeel tally 58 points. George Jenkins finished third, with Landon Schneider second overall at the meet. He posted 17:26.30 to edge Brady.

Lakeland Christian's Mallory White was the top Polk County female finisher with a time of 20:33.70. She came in fourth to help the Vikings finish first overall on the girls' side. Jenkins came in second overall, with Ruby Lewis (20:52.70) leading the way. Lewis was sixth, with Lakeland Christian's Jessica Fuller (21:34.70) right behind her.
