Lake Wales' Hadley Will Run for Clemson

LAKELAND | Sabria Hadley had the hot hand in the 200 meter race at the state meet last year, beating the most decorated sprinter in Florida for the victory.

With the success there, and during the summer, came offers from first-class ACC programs including Clemson University and the University of Miami.

Late last week the senior chose Clemson, where she'll compete on the track and field team on a full athletic scholarship.

"I'm just taking it like it's a blessing from God. I know this doesn't happen to everyone," said Hadley.

"The success rate at Clemson is what really got me. Looking at the times that the girls came in running from high school and what they left with really impressed me."
