Class 2A Volleyball: Foundation Academy 3, All Saints' Academy 0

WINTER GARDEN | Foundation Academy defeated All Saints' Academy, 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-14), in a Class 2A regional championship match.

Taylor Ashcraft had 11 kills and 11 digs and was one of the key players to help lead the Saints to the regional finals.

It was the furthest the Saints have ever made it the playoffs in volleyball before.

"It's a good thing," All Saints head coach Bruce Guth said, referring to how far the Saints made it in the playoffs. "If the girls work hard the future is bright."

The Saints will be returning 10 players next season and have high hopes to make another deep run in the Class 2A tournament.

Tchel Thomas contributed 8 assists, while teammates Anna Holt had 3 kills and 10 digs and eighth-grader Carolina Martinez finished with seven assists for the Saints.

Foundation Academy advances to play Sheridan Hills Christian at the Silver Spurs Arena in the Class 2A State semifinals at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
