Frostproof Remains Perfect Heading Into Regional Play After Beating Lake Placid, 2-0

LAKE PLACID | Amanda Robillard scored a goal near the end of the half on an assist from Taylor Hepler to lead Frostproof over Lake Placid 2-0 in the Class 2A, District 10 girls soccer championship game at Lake Placid.
"We're coming together as a team," Frostproof head coach George Wyre said. "We don't score a lot of goals, but we shut them down and hope we get one.
"My sweeper Ashton Robbilard did a good job of managing the defense."
Frostproof had a bye for the first round of the tournament and defeated Mulberry, 2-0 in the second round.
"Our defense stepped up big and shut them out," Wyre said.
The Panthers (11-9-3) defeated Hardee in first round 2-1.
The Green Dragons defeated DeSoto County 3-2 in the second round. Lake Placid also had a bye in the first round.
The Bulldogs (16-0-3) will host Clearwater Central Catholic in the regional quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Frostproof and Lake Placid could meet each other again if they both win their first-round regional matchups.
