LAKE PLACID | Amanda Robillard scored a goal near the end of the half on an assist from Taylor Hepler to lead Frostproof over Lake Placid 2-0 in the Class 2A, District 10 girls soccer championship game at Lake Placid.

"We're coming together as a team," Frostproof head coach George Wyre said. "We don't score a lot of goals, but we shut them down and hope we get one.

"My sweeper Ashton Robbilard did a good job of managing the defense."

Frostproof had a bye for the first round of the tournament and defeated Mulberry, 2-0 in the second round.

"Our defense stepped up big and shut them out," Wyre said.

The Panthers (11-9-3) defeated Hardee in first round 2-1.

The Green Dragons defeated DeSoto County 3-2 in the second round. Lake Placid also had a bye in the first round.

The Bulldogs (16-0-3) will host Clearwater Central Catholic in the regional quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
